Pharisaical Watchman - False Messengers (6/8/23)
The false watchmen have been withstanding the Holy Spirit and in some cases have spoken against Him. Many of these Pharisaical false watchmen took the calling upon themselves and were not called by God. These false messengers have damaged the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and prevented many believers from walking with the Lord in fullness. They have spread traditions of men, false teaching, and doctrines of demons. These Pharisaical self-appointed ministries have prevented the Lord’s precious sheep from entering or progressing in the Kingdom of God.
The Lord’s Spirit will no longer strive with their fleshly ways (Genesis 6:3). Judgment is coming to the Pharisaical watchman who have been constantly speaking against the supernatural moving of the Holy Spirit. These proud and false messengers have told the eternal Godhead what He can and can’t do for long enough. The Lord has given them much time to repent but they have become even more bold, cynical, and mocking in their speech. These false messengers are tearing down believers with their scornful and sneering words.
Woe to the Pharisees
Jesus is now rebuking the Pharisees in our day just as He did the Pharisees of His day:
““But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.” (Matthew 23:13 NKJV)
Misery, sorrow, and distress (woe) are coming to the false watchmen. These messengers of the evil one form theologies of how the Holy Spirit no longer moves in power. They teach that the gifts of the Spirit have ceased, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is no more, healing the sick has stopped (by the laying on of hands), casting out demons has halted, and that God cannot touch people in His power and holy fire. They are consumed with zeal from their own self-life. Just as Paul the apostle persecuted the church in his carnal zeal from the nature of Adam, these false watchmen zealously attack believers who trust what the Bible says about the operating of the Holy Spirit.
Childlike trust in the word of God pleases the Father. He loves it when we simply believe what His word says instead of doubting. The Pharisaical watchmen tear down the reality of God’s word for the present day church by their doctrines. Then they mock and persecute believers for trusting in the word of God. These false messengers prevent many believers from experiencing the Kingdom of God manifesting on the earth in the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power. Unbelief and the denial of the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit is one of the major factors that shuts down the manifestation of His presence and power in His church.
The Father desires for us to enter into Heavenly realities while on the earth and the enemy is ministering through the Pharisaical watchmen to prevent believers from doing just that. These false messengers are deceived by the enemy. They think they are defending God but they are actually fighting against Him. Our loving and patient Father has reached the end of His patience with these messengers of Satan. Specifically because they are infecting the Lord’s sheep with false doctrines which is turning people away from the truth of the Holy Spirit.
Anti-Christ
The scriptures say: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” (Ephesians 4:11-13 KJV)
Jesus is giving apostles and prophets until we all come to the perfect man (Son of man) that Jesus Christ is. The church is obviously not there yet so these ministries are still in effect as per the word of God. False messengers try to teach against this very clear verse. They say that apostles and prophets are not operating in the church anymore. By attacking the clear blueprint of ministry leadership in the New Testament church, these false watchmen set themselves against Christ thus making themselves anti-Christ. This sin opens them up to an antichrist spirit. Once this spirit takes hold of them, they persecute the truth church.
Instead of defending the word of God they actually create doctrine that nullifies it. The antichrist spirit within them attacks the operating of the Holy Spirit. These false watchman tell the Holy Spirit that He can’t minister in power in His own church. I can’t even imagine what their judgment will be when they stand before the Lord. These false messengers will be speechless when Jesus tells them they were fighting against Him and His word because they willingly gave themselves over to deception. “But Lord we defended the word in your name,” they will say.
“You rejected My word in your own name and theology,” Jesus may counter. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for these false watchmen.
The antichrist spirit in these false messengers says, “There are no more prophets in our day. There is no new revelation!”
As if God cannot speak through people if He chooses to! Do you see how this spirit dictates to God what He can and can’t do? Do you see the pride in this voice that is coming from the Pharisaical watchman? The Lord surely does what He pleases and we don’t have any right to tell Him what He can’t do.
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:1-2 NKJV
The above scripture surely states that God no longer speaks through prophets right? Only if we ignore the Lord’s blueprint for church leadership in Ephesians Chapter 4 and then make this scripture conform to our own theology. That’s how the false watchman twist the scriptures. The above scripture states that God has spoken through His Son in these last days. Christ is in all believers and He can certainly speak through any believer. When Christ ascended on high He gave the gift of Himself to leaders. Christ the prophet speaks through His prophets in these last days. Christ the apostle speaks through His apostles. So God certainly does speak through His Son in us!
The book of Revelation was written after the book of Hebrews. John was an apostle, however the revelation of Jesus Christ that he was entrusted with clearly shows that he was a prophet as well. John was given a Heavenly encounter similar to that of Daniel the prophet. Usually only prophets are given those types of encounters as it is part of their calling. Prophetic leaders then have the authority to release that revelation to the entire church as John and Daniel did.
Man has no authority to disempower the word of God and declare certain scriptures are void simply because he ‘thinks’ they are void. Those who destroy God’s word in this way will be judged. The Lord’s word and His leadership stands, regardless of what the pharisaical serpents preach.
“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” (I Corinthians 12:28 NKJV)
The Lord spent nearly 70 years establishing His blueprint for the New Testament church in scripture. Only fools would then teach that portions of God’s word was no longer relevant after the first century (only a few years after the book of Revelation was completed). True humility believes God’s word, obeys God’s word, and stands for God’s word. Carnal minded men cannot receive God’s word by faith so they find ways to tear it down.
The Rebukes
““Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.” (Matthew 23:15 NKJV)
The Pharisaical watchmen love to make more disciples so they can curse God’s people together. They make other messengers of Hell that spew their poisonous attacks at the church. Some of the leaders these watchmen attack really are in error or sin. But these false watchmen have poison in them and they mock leaders like their master the devil. They carry his voice, not the voice of the Lord. These sons of the devil are doing much damage to Christ’s church.
““Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.” (Matthew 23:31-35 NKJV)
The Pharisaical messengers are killing the apostles and prophets with evil speaking. Their venomous tongues lash out at the Lord’s anointed messengers. These serpents are filling up their sins to the brim. Jesus is asking them today, “How can you escape Hell unless you repent?” These broods of vipers should repent soon or they may find themselves standing before the living God much sooner than they expected. Judgment is coming soon and it is starting now for other Pharisaical watchmen.
Distinguishing True Watchman from the False
True watchmen may address certain sins, church issues, leaders, or ministries. But they will simply bring forth truth in order to make believers aware and set the captives free. They carry the Lord’s concern for His church and do not want to see His sheep destroyed by delusion. Their heart motive is to prevent believers from falling away from the faith and to take believers from children to mature sons and daughters.
False watchmen are scornful. They may speak against false leaders or leaders functioning in mixture, but they do it in a ‘mocking’ way. They take joy in exposing leaders and speaking against them. A true watchman only does it out of love and obedience to the Lord. They do not enjoy speaking about other ministers or ministries. Bitterness comes from the mouths of false watchmen.
Those Who Cause Offense
“He answered, He Who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed means the children of the kingdom; the darnel is the children of the evil one, And the enemy who sowed it is the devil. The harvest is the close and consummation of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the darnel (weeds resembling wheat) is gathered and burned with fire, so it will be at the close of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of offense [persons by whom others are drawn into error or sin] and all who do iniquity and act wickedly, And will cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and wailing and grinding of teeth.” (Matthew 13:37-42 AMPC)
False Watchmen are offenses to God and His church. The ‘offenses’ who don’t repent, may be harvested prematurely so that they cease from being stumbling stones. The Greek word for ‘offense’ means: “trap-spring; a stumbling block, anything against which one stumbles, an impediment, a cause of ruin, destruction, misery, a cause or occasion of sinning, scandal, and a cause of indignation.”
““Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!” (Matthew 18:6-7 NKJV)
It is sin when false watchman curse leaders with their tongues and cause others to stumble. They are actually keeping believers from knowing the Lord in fullness. This could be one of the greatest sins and stumbling blocks of all. Therefore it would be better for pharisaical watchman if they were drowned right now, then it will be for them in the judgment if they continue to make believers stumble. The time is very short to repent for these false messengers.
